Its was 50’s night as DTHers hit Kelly’s for the first of two nights of rock and roll. Seemed like last year Friday was the mellower night as the anticipation built up for Saturday. Well that certainly ain’t happening this year as no one held back. From Keaton, Tolcher, Gareth, and Duke, to Tim Warren, Jason Adamo, Andy Davis, and good ol PMB, the night rocked from the minute they hit the floor. As I sit and write I can hear Andy on the beach singing to a relaxing crowd of on lookers. So enjoy the images as I scoot out the door.
Kelly’s grew quickly to a packed house.
PMB opened up the show with Mic Capdevielle keeping the beat all night long.
Crowd fav Steve Bentz on the bass.
Patrick McAloon on rhythm with PMB.
Chardy McEwan; percussion.
Artists for all ages…..including these young ladies.
Jason Adamo in his first DTH appearance. I spoke with Jason a bit and was quite sure he was having the time of his life in front of a warm crowd.
The dynamic duo of Michael Tolcher and Keaton Simons tearing it up like none other.
Gareth Asher rockin’ it to all my favorites. Check out all these artists by searching on iTunes.
Josh accompanying Gareth on the Fender.
At this time I noticed a large flock migrating to the foot of the stage to see this guy……
….. Tim Warren of The Alternate Routes with a voice as smooth as silk.
Andy Davis sporting the bow tie and playin the keys along with Tim. Nice combination.
Some fabulous artists on stage right. Tim, Pat, Chardy, and Andy.
Crowd favorite Matt Duke rocked the house to a full band as the crowd sang every word. Hard to express just how nice and accommodating these musicians are. Matt invites my son Danny on stage to play “Rose.” Danny has been a huge Duke fan since discovering his work at last year’s DTH. His persistence in learning Matt’s craft and in reaching out to Matt landed him the invite. What a cool opportunity for a young man to play along his favorite artist. Thanks Matt!
Looks like someone is having a good time.
At around midnight towards the end of another Keaton Simons blistering set, he invited everyone up for a fantastic rendition of the Beatles “With a Little Help From My Friends.” And still….there were 2 more hours left of the show.
Mic, Andy, Patrick, and Steve sportin the greaser look.
The video crew….working the crowd and having fun.
Yours truly with friend Steve Bentz. (dig the hat button). We met Steve last year and keep tabs over FB. Look for Steve and Mic on the big stage at JIffy Lube next fall as they open for Maroon Five with Tony Lucca! Big time baby! And look for Keaton Simons on the Ellen Degeneres show this June 10 where he will perform one of his many hits.
